Oct 31st- Nov 6th

 Hope everyone had a great Halloween weekend! It was great to see all the costumes on Saturday. We are in the limbo season just waiting for the snow. If you have ski at home I would scrape them sometime this week so you are ready to go incase a practice suddenly gets changed to skiing.

Tuesday 2nd Nov

Orange:

Meet at the sea cans ready to run. Practice is 4:30-6pm. You will be working on physical literacy

Purple:

Practice is from 4:30-6pm and meet at the sea cans. You will be running, strength, balance and speed. Don’t forget your water bottle!

Green:

Practice is 4:30-6pm, *Meet outside the waxroom*. We will split into 3 groups, two groups will go for a run and the other group will be in the waxroom prepping their spots in the lockers. After 15 minutes the groups will switch and switch again in another 15 minutes. Bring your gear so you can put it away in the locker. *Also, don’t forget to bring a mask!*

Thursday 4th Nov:

Purple:

Meet at the sea cans for 4:30pm. You will be running and working on speed, balance and Strength. Practice is done at 6pm

Green:

Meet out front of the waxroom at 4:30pm. We will either be skiing or running, I will email you Wednesday evening saying if we are running or skiing. We will finish at 6pm outside the waxroom.

Saturday 6th Nov:

Yellow:

Practice is 1-2:30pm, meet in the stadium ready to run. Yellow will do a warm-up and then work on speed, balance and strength.

Orange:

Meet in the stadium and practice is from 1-2:30pm. You will start with a warm-up and then work on balance, strength and speed 

Purple:

Meet in the stadium at 1pm ready for a long run. Purple will explore the ski trails and single-track trails and be back in the stadium for 2:30pm

Green:

Practice is 1-2:30pm, meet outside the waxroom. We are either going to ski or run, I will send out an email on Friday evening.

Oct 23rd-30th

 Hi Everyone

It's a busy week for Squad! Tuesday night is Squad Night at Coast Mountain Sports and on Saturday is the Halloween event. Costumes are encouraged for Saturday but make sure you can move and run in it.


Tuesday 26th Oct:

Orange:

Meet at the sea cans ready to run. Practice is 4:30-6pm. You will be working on physical literacy

Purple:

Practice is from 4:30-6pm and meet at the sea cans. You will be running, strength, balance and speed. Don’t forget your water bottle!

Green:

Practice is 4:30-6pm, Dahria will be joining us for this practice. We will do a warm-up run and then come back to the stadium for speed, balance and strength.

Thursday 28th Oct:

Purple:

Meet at the sea cans for 4:30pm. You will be running and working on speed, balance and Strength. Practice is done at 6pm

Green:

No roller skiing today, you will be ski walking and bounding instead. Practice is 4:30-6pm and practice will start and end at the sea cans

Saturday 30th Oct: Halloween Celebration!

Costumes are encouraged but make sure you can move in it!

Yellow, Orange:

Practice is 1-2:30pm. Meet in the Mount Mac parking lot and we will finish there as well. Practice will start off with a scavenger hunt and then meet in the by the pump track for some games.

 

Purple:,Green:

Practice is 1-2:30pm and we will meet in the Mount Mac parking lot and finish there. The first part of the practice is a running race and the second is games.

Oct 17th-23rd

 The temperatures are dropping which means snow is in the air but we still have a couple weeks left of Dry land training. With it getting colder we need to remember to dress appropriately, the kids are still running around and being active but that can be difficult if they aren't wearing proper footwear or clothing. Parents and kids can you please remember to wear mittens, buff or toque, jacket and running shoes to practice.

Practice is 4:30-6pm, meet in the stadium ready to run.

Thursday 21st Oct:

Meet at the sea cans for 4:30pm. You will be running and working on speed, balance and Strength. Practice is done at 6pm

Green:

No roller skiing today, you will be ski striding instead. Practice is 4:30-6pm and practice will start and end at the sea cans

Saturday 23rd Oct:

Practice is 1-2:30pm, meet in the stadium ready to run. Yellow will do a warm-up and then work on speed, balance and strength.

Orange:

Meet in the stadium and practice is from 1-2:30pm. You will start with a warm-up and then work on balance, strength and speed.

Purple:

Meet in the stadium at 1pm ready for a long run. Purple will explore the ski trails and single-track trails and be back in the stadium for 2:30pm

Green:

Practice is 1-2:30pm, meet in the stadium ready to run. You will be going on a long run today so come dressed prepared.
